C.A.T - an integrative technique in Clinical Hypnotherapy:

  • Classical conditioning
  • Bilateral stimulation
  • Gestalt psychology
  • Hypnotherapy
  • Priming

C.A.T. uses findings from neuropsychology research in conjunction with traditional psychology

Target group: Psychotherapists of all disciplines

What is "C.A.T."?

C.A.T. stands for Covert Anchoring Technique. The method goes back to Milton H. Erickson and his concept of therapeutic multi-level communication. With C.A.T., digital and analogue information is combined in the therapy process so that the therapeutic message is placed directly in the subconscious mind. This is achieved through a combination of kinaesthetic stimuli (anchors) and certain key words.

C.A.T. was only developed a few years ago. Due to its flexibility, C.A.T. is the multi-tool for the hypnotherapeutic toolbox of today's psychotherapists.

C.A.T. is used as a method of aversion treatment (e.g. for smoking, harmful alcohol consumption); it is also used to activate resources (e.g. in coaching) and is successfully used in combinations with EMDR (Bilateral Stimulation) and Flash-Technique (adopted from Manfield) in the treatment of chronic pain and PTSD.

C.A.T. complements the hypnotherapeutic toolbox as a goal-orientated short-term intervention and is ideally suited for combination with other (hypno-) therapeutic methods, concepts and schools.

Workshop are held in German and English language.
Only internal training for therapists and coaches.
