Health management:
Mental health in business units
Resilience & burnout prevention in the workplace.
Strengthen strengths – especially after the pandemic.
The pandemic, skills shortages and economic uncertainty are factors that we cannot change immediately, but we can learn to respond to them in a healthier way.
According to a report by DAK Gesundheit, absenteeism and sick leave related to mental illness have increased by 56% over the last 10 years. While in 2010 there were around 169 sick days per 100 insured persons due to mental illness, this figure had risen to over 260 days by 2020.
RATIO OF SICK DAYS PER 100 INSURED PERSONS IN 2010 VS. 2020
Another alarming finding of this report is that the increase in sick days due to mental illness has been by far the most striking development in incapacity for work for years. While sick days for all illness groups rose by only 11 percent between 2010 and 2020, sick days due to mental illness rose by a whopping 56 percent.

A common cause of mental illness:
stress at work.
According to a study by the Techniker Krankenkasse health insurance company, 70% of employees say, ‘I am stressed.’
Forty percent said they often feel worn out and exhausted. Thirty-three percent of employees said, ‘I feel exhausted or burnt out.’ Thirty-three percent said they had suffered from mental health issues such as burnout, anxiety disorders or depression in the last three years.

The consequences:
For employees: Risk of long-term illness (incapacity to work).
For companies: Absenteeism and loss of skilled workers.
For the economy: High costs of illness and early retirement.
As a trainer and consultant in business and organisational psychology, I am familiar with the internal concerns and demands placed on employees at all levels.
As a psychotherapist, I also recognise the conditions for mental health and prevention and am aware of the health risks posed by stress and other risk factors.
Precisely because stress in everyday working life is a common cause of mental illness, it is important to tackle the problem directly. Only by avoiding negative stress from the outset can you protect your employees and your company from the consequences (loss of skilled workers, high sick leave, etc.).
To achieve this, we are at your side and provide psychological support to you and your employees to reduce long-term negative stress and improve mental health. We would be happy to provide you with information about our services in a no-obligation preliminary consultation.
